The City Treasurer’s Office co-located next to the Planning counter at Sabre Street will permanently close at 5 p.m., Thursday, May 1 as part of the Planning Department's move to the Municipal Center. Other Treasurer's Office locations are not impacted.

The Seventh Annual Unclaimed Property Event, in partnership with the Department of Unclaimed Property Division was held on May 14 & 15, 2025. This event was a tremendous success with a total of $362,935 found by Virginia Beach residents. Since its inception, these events have helped residents find more than $1.8 million.
If you missed this year’s event, you can still utilize this service 24/7 by visiting VAMoneySearch.org. Unclaimed property could be dormant or inactive bank accounts, securities, insurance policy proceeds, refunds, uncashed checks, dividends, etc.
