Methods of Payment

Pay in Person​

Pay in person at any of our convenient locations with cash, check, money order, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover. A 2.5% service fee will be applied to all card transactions. Each of these locations also features a drop box for check or money order payments only, no cash. Drop boxes can continue to be used during our modified operations. The boxes are emptied twice a day.

​​Pay Online

Pay Personal Property Tax and Real Estate Tax online as a one-time payment without logging in, enrolling and creating a new profile, or simply logging in to your existing profile.

Pay Parking Tickets, Red Light Citations, School Board Invoices and Stop Arm Camera Citations online as a one-time payment without logging in.

File and pay Trustee Taxes online by logging into your existing profile or enrolling to create a new profile.

  • Pay via ACH/eCheck (no fee)
  • Pay with a Major Credit/Debit Card (2.5% fee or $1, whichever is greater)

All online payments made prior to midnight will be processed the following business day. All online payments made after midnight will be processed in two business days.

DMV Stops are automatically removed on the day they are processed, not the payment date. If you have a DMV Stop and need it immediately removed, do not make your payment online.

If you do not have your bill, please note what you are paying and a bill/account number so that your payment will be properly applied.

​​Pay by Phone

Personal Property Tax, Real Estate Tax, Parking Tickets, and Public Utilities/stormwater bills can be paid over the phone with a major credit/debit card subject to the 2.5% fee or $1, whichever is greater. The Treasurer's Local Payment Call Center is available at (757) 385-8968. Normal center hours are Monday - Friday, 8:30-11 a.m. and 1-4 p.m. Call Center availability is subject to staffing constraints and taxpayers can expect longer wait times as due dates approach.
